If you are the research guy about becoming slim you might have read a few things intending to say that mind and obesity are inter-related. This fact is true. In fact it is very very true: a controlled mind can help you become slim. But first let us see how this mind makes you obese.
Years ago I had read a scientific paper being published in the newspaper which talked about the relation between fatness and mind. The thesis was not too elaborate but this article is. There are many reasons why a person may over-eat which is related to the mind (and not the thinking brain).
Emotional people eat a lot. Depressed people eat or drink a lot. People who are afraid or tensed also tend to eat a lot. There are certain people who keep on eating all the time as a time-pass. These are the main reasons why people become obese.
People who keep on eating all the time do not eat to satisfy their hunger. Hence it is advised to obese people to eat such foods which they do not like to eat. When we eat food which we do not like we eat it to satisfy our hunger. Once the person feel that his hunger is satisfied he will naturally stop eating for he does not like that food.
The most common reason for obesity is: mindless eating. When there is mindless eating a person never bothers to see whether his stomach is full or not. A person keeps on eating till he comes to a point where he can eat no longer. Yoga bring the mind under control and helps a person to concentrate his mind to lose the obese looks that he has got into. In order to become slim it is only the mind which has to be controlled. Once the mind is controlled the rest of the body will automatically become slim.
